BIO

They say no one can tell your story like you. Born and raised on the Southside of Chicago,IL , I’ve always loved music. I started developing a genuine love for it at the age of 5. I was raised by great-grandparents/aunts/uncles & a village of well respected elders in the church and that’s where I was able to be cultivated as a musician and person. I started off playing the drums from 5-13. At the age of 13 I was prayed over , woke up one day, and could play piano fluently and the rest is history.

At 16 , started working in the church as a profession, that was my first job. Since then I’ve been blessed to only play music as a way of providing for myself and family.

At 21, traveled the church circuit with several different gospel acts and felt ready for a bigger challenge. I was then introduced to Rex Hardy Jr., who changed my life with the opportunity of playing keys on my first tour in 2009 with The Dream and Keri Hilson. I treated this situation as a dream come true, as it was . After that my professional career as a musician took off. I’ve been blessed to build and work with transcendent artist like.....Prince, Diddy, Mary J Blige, Stevie Wonder, Kendrick Lamar, Seal, BJThe Chicago Kid, Nicki Minaj, Jill Scott, Nick Jonas and the Administration/The Jonas Bros & a host of other amazing creatives. It’s been a culmination of these events that brought me to understanding that with hard work anything is possible.

It was with that energy that  I stepped out on faith and started writing and composing original music. It started with a single in 2014( 10x Better) and turned into an entire album in 2017 (20s) which are available everywhere music is streamed.

I was also nominated for a Grammy in 2015 for my work on

BjTheChicagoKid’s InMyMind album , an album I take great pride in being apart of.

I look forward to creating art daily that inspired and uplifts the world forever and that will never change.
